Licensing
You can license your games adapted from Legacy: Life Among the Ruins and this system reference document (SRD) using the moniker “Worlds of Legacy”. The contents of the SRD are available for use under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license.
To make use of this license, all you need to do is put the attribution provided below clearly in your work. That’s it – you don’t need to pay us any fees, make your own work Creative Commons licensed, or anything else.

To use the Worlds of Legacy moniker and give us credit for our part in your work, please add this text wherever you set out your own copyright (traditionally at the document start), at the same font size as the rest of your copyright section:

Using the Logo
To make legal use of the Worlds of Legacy logo, you must include the following text:

You may also access the logo in .AI format by following this link. You may adjust the colours of logo elements to fit your branding but may not alter the shapes and sizes of logo elements.
How You Can Use This
Copying
Simply enough, this license allows you to just copy the SRD and republish it. If you do, please remember to include the attribution text.
Global Publication
There should be no problem publishing outside the UK or US – the Creative Commons license has been written to be compatible with global copyright law.
Creating New Works
You have the right to create and sell new works derived from the SRD.
Requirements
There’s a few conditions on this. First, you must include that attribution detailed above. Without that, the license isn’t valid.
Next, you can’t imply or state that UFO Press is endorsing you or sponsoring you unless we’ve talked and made a special arrangement that explicitly includes that agreement.
Don’t use the name Legacy in your product’s title, though it’s fine to mention the game in your ad copy and product blurbs.
Don’t use the UFO Press or Legacy: Life Among the Ruins logo without our express permission, though you can use the Worlds of Legacy logo detailed above.
You can’t reproduce any Legacy: Life Among the Ruins content that isn’t in the SRD – including but not limited to the playbooks, the artwork, GM advice, antagonists and NPCs or sample scenarios.
Finally, this isn’t a legal requirement, but we’d love it if you let us know what you were doing with Legacy: Life Among the Ruins and sent us a digital copy. Contact us at contact@ufopress.co.uk!
