Hostile Waters 0 – After the Flood

I hope you enjoyed Red Moon Rising! This is the start of Hostile Waters, a new campaign run in Legacy: Life Among the Ruins 2nd Edition. We’re also incorporating material from the next two books: The Engine of Life and End Game. This session is just an initial world setup and family/character creation, but please listen if you want to dive deep into our world!

Also: apologies for the audio quality. Our recording solution crashed halfway through and I needed to go with a backup. Don’t worry though – we have a better solution in place for the next ep.

Taking part:
Jay (@jayciles) as the GM.
Laurence (@sarkyfrood) playing Feligus Vasp, Elder of the Ascendant Ensemble (Eternal Masquerade).
Douglas (co-author of Legacy) playing Lima Sierra, Machine of the Acanti (Stranded Starfarers).
Dave playing Cpt. Eva Stern, Scavenger of the People’s Fleet (Pioneers of the Depths).
Thanks for listening!

Red Moon Rising 6 – Kill the Sun

Apologies for no episode last week – in my rush to get Legacy 2e out the door I didn’t have time for podcast editing! It goes on sale on Wednesday 21st of March – follow this link to get it after that.

In this episode, perversions of the natural order are attacked, understood, and befriended, a star is reborn from an unlikely source, and the source of the crystal spheres’ corruption is finally found and ended.

Hosted by Jay Iles (@jayciles), with Isidor played by Maria Rivera (@thoobn), Hector played by Jesse Larimer, Cygan played by Ellen Saxon, and Alexandria played by Aaron DeRosa (@OrderedPlace). Originally recorded as part of The Gauntlet Hangouts.

Red Moon Rising 5 – Crystal Spheres

In this week’s episode, we’re joined by a new player – Ellen, trying out a Mystic from the Hidden Hand.

The explorers are in a strange and otherworldly place, but they haven’t escaped the castle’s taint. If even the heavens are contaminated by the Regent’s will, what hope do they have?

Hosted by Jay Iles (@jayciles), with Isidor played by Maria Rivera (@thoobn), Hector played by Jesse Larimer, Cygan played by Ellen Saxon, and Alexandria played by Aaron DeRosa (@OrderedPlace).

Red Moon Rising 3: Baptism

The Red Moon has risen once more, and the castle has returned to the world. The Rome of 1523 is corrupted by its tendrils, and heroes have gathered to fight it back. Fuelled by a desire to find power, restore lost artefacts, or rescue their lover, they kick down its doors and descend into its depths. In the damp, moss-covered marble corridors of the great cathedral, they will face baleful priests, mutilated martyrs and strange purification rituals. And at the centre of the cathedral, the acolyte in charge waits to baptise them into the castle’s dark religion.

Hosted by James Iles (@jamesciles), with Isidor played by Maria Rivera (@thoobn), Hector played by Jesse Larimer, and Alexandria played by Aaron DeRosa (@OrderedPlace).

Red Moon Rising 2: The Founding

With the castle banished for now, we explore the bloodlines each founder created to prepare for its return. When it invades again – in the heart of 1523 Rome – it will be met by a faithful and superstitious lineage of shepherds, devotees of a holy library, mystics hungrily searching for power and half-dead beserkers trying to fight the rage within.

Red Moon Rising 1: Emergence

We start a playtest campaign of Rhapsody of Blood – gothic action in an evil castle from beyond the world. A good-hearted shepherd, a mystical librarian, a flame-possessed sorcerer and a victim of the castle struggling against corruption face down the castle’s regent in an epic battle to push back evil.
